We believe in sustainability and worry about the future of our planet.

You might think this is at odds with being a logistics company with all the associated emissions, but the reality is, that the trucking and freight industry is always going to exist, and that having organisations that are passionate about sustainability are what is going to change the industry for the better.

We believe that the trucking and freight industry can become a sustainable and responsible industry.

Sustainability actions we are taking now

Vehicle Emissions

We are making sure that our fleet is up-to-date with the latest Euro 5 emissions standards, meaning that they produce 1/4 of the emissions than many of our competitors. Vehicle missions account for a large proportion of our carbon footprint, so this is an important part of our sustainability approach.

In addition to investing in new technology, we also prioritize the maintenance and upkeep of all our trucks and trailers to ensure they are running at optimal efficiency levels.

You can rest assured that we are making sure that the vehicles we use are as efficient as possible and are looking into other solutions for the future.

FACT: The Euro 5 emissions standards significantly decreased the permissible limit of nitrogen oxides from diesel-powered cars by 28%. For diesels to abide with such standards, Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) were necessary, demonstrating their prowess in eliminating 99% of all particulates.

Thanks to the Euro 5 standards, air quality and public health have improved dramatically. The reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions has allowed for healthier living conditions and a cleaner environment. Additionally, DPFs have been proven to be highly effective in reducing particulate matter related to diesel engines. This has been especially beneficial for those living in densely populated areas.

Recycling

We understand the importance of correctly disposing of all types of waste, which is why we have implemented a recycling program that focuses on sorting waste into different streams. This helps us to recycling what we can, whilst reducing the amount of waste that is sent to landfill.

We also try to reuse any materials that we (packaging materials, our bottles and cups) which reduces the amount of waste going into our recycling streams and helps us to become more sustainable. We understand the importance of reducing our environmental impact, so when it comes to freight and transport solutions, you can be sure that Easy Eagles are always looking for ways to make everything as sustainably as possible.

By implementing this system, we are able to ensure that the maximum percentage of waste we generate is recycled and stored in an effective manner.

Waste Minimisation

We are proud to be actively reducing our impact on the environment by limiting the packaging materials that we use in our operations. We don’t using single-use plastic wraps or sticky tape, we instead use reusable blankets and reusable straps to keep your goods safe from harm.

We bring our own bottles and coffee cups when on the road and reduce the amount of waste that goes into our environment by not using single-use containers. We understand that this small step can have a huge impact on the environment, so we are proud to be making it part of our daily operations.

Efficient Transport

With Easy Eagles sustainability, you can rest assured your goods will get from A to B in an efficient manner while also having minimal environmental impacts.

In terms of sustainability, in addition to finding new technologies we are increasingly focus on operational efficiencies as a sustainability solution. Increasing operational efficiencies has a direct correlation with the reduction of emissions while still ensuring your goods arrive on time.

By focusing on efficient freight routes, we are able to reduce the effective emissions for each unit of freight. The more efficient our routes are, the higher the packed capacity of our trucks is, the lower the emissions become for whatever it is you are wanting transported.

The Future for Sustainability – At Easy Eagles Sustainability we pride ourselves on being a leader in green freight initiatives. In the future, Easy Eagles will continue to make improvements in our approach to sustainability. We want to ensure that we remain at the forefront of technological advancements within the freight industry, and will continue to invest in initiatives that help us do this. We believe that the only way forward is towards a more sustainable future – and Easy Eagles is going to lead the way!

Offsetting Emissions

Easy Eagles in committed to offsetting all of carbon dioxide emissions through the use of independent carbon offset companies. This is something we are seriously looking at in the near future. We will keep you posted on the progress of this.

Becoming carbon negative

Once we have achieved the above goal of offsetting our emissions, we want to become carbon negative. What this means is that through our business operations there will be less carbon dioxide in the environment than if we didn’t exist.

This is a really exciting goal for us. We will achieve this by actively investing in projects which help to remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it permanently. This is something we are passionate about and plan to do in the future, we are going to reduce CO2!

Future Truck Fuel Sources

We are always looking for ways to improve the sustainability of our freight operations and reduce carbon emissions. We looking at new technologies, such as electric and hydrogen trucks, that will help us make a difference for generations to come, whilst still delivering your goods on time.

Hydrogen vehicles in our opinion are the future of freight transport. They have zero tailpipe emissions and are extremely efficient. They have the added benefit of being refuelled quickly and are likely have a much higher range than electric trucks. We plan to invest in these vehicles over the coming years, so stay tuned for more information on this! Hydrogen is made by electrolysing water, which makes it a clean, renewable fuel source and could provide us with a more efficient way of transporting goods in the future.

Electric vehicles are also a great option. They offer zero emissions and they have the potential to drastically reduce our carbon footprint. However , they also have their drawbacks. Electric vehicles are limited by range and battery life, as well as the sustainability and life span of the batteries. However these issues may be solved with future technological advancements.

At Easy Eagles Sustainability we believe that hydrogen trucks, or potentially a combination of electric and hydrogen trucks is going to be the way forward for freight transport in terms of sustainability. We will keep you updated on our progress as we continue.

Coffee cups

Not as glamourous as hydrogen trucks, but a lot cheaper. We will be bringing out our own re-usable coffee cups for our drivers, there may even be some for our customers!

Repairing the planet

Sustainability for us isn’t just about doing things differently or reducing our emissions, it’s also about repairing the damage that has already been done to our planet.

Easy Eagles Sustainability is committed to re-planting native trees in areas of need and investing in other projects that will help to restore areas of damage to our planet. We’ll keep you updated on the progress of this.
